Carter Stoutmire, starting safety for the Colorado Buffaloes used his relationship with NIL partner Q-Collar to help his former High School, Prestonwood Christian Academy in Plano, TX. Carter brought the gift of safety to his alma mater during a team meeting to encourage the next generation of players, providing Q-Collar’s for the varsity football team.
Carter began wearing the Q-Collar during the 2024-2025 season. He became an official partner of Q30 this Spring of 2025 in order to better educate others on the benefits of the Q-Collar and the impact it has made in helping keep him safer on the field.
Since 2012, Q30 Innovations has worked with leading medical and academic institutions to research and develop the Q-Collar. Over 25 pre-clinical and clinical studies show the Q-Collar safely and effectively helps protect the brain from effects of repetitive head impacts. The Q-Collar received FDA authorization in February 2021, and officially launched in the United States in September 2021. The Q-Collar is currently being worn by professionals and youth athletes in lacrosse, football, soccer, winter sports and members of the armed forces.
“I like knowing I’m doing all I can to be available and play at my best for my team,” said Stoutmire. It was an easy choice to make to wear the Q-Collar. I was excited to go back and help my former teammates and provide them with the same protection.”
“We’re proud to partner with Carter and support his commitment to player safety both on and off the field,” said Suzanne Williams, VP, Sports Marketing at Q30 Innovations. “His decision to support his alma mater by providing Q-Collars is a powerful example of his leadership. We’re excited to work alongside him to help educate athletes on how to better protect their brains and play the game they love more safely.”
